INTERNATIONAL TELECOMMUNICATION UNION RADIOCOMMUNICATION BUREAU (Direct Fax No. +41 22 730 57 85) Administrative Circular CA/7 2 May 1994 To Administrations of Members of the ITU and other members of the Radiocommunication Sector Subject: Conference Preparatory Meeting (CPM-95) for the purpose of preparing the CPM report to the World Radiocommunication Conference, 1995 (WRC-95) and to continue preparation for WRC-97 Introduction Administrative Circular CA/5 of 9 March 1994 contains the results of the first Conference Preparatory Meeting (CPM-94) which was held in Geneva from 15 to 17 February 1994. Date and place of the meeting The CPM-95 will be held in Geneva from 22 March to 5 April 1995. Registration will commence at 8:30 hours and the meeting will commence at 9:30 hours on the opening day. Programme of the meeting The programme of the meeting is contained in the draft agenda (Annex 1). The report will be prepared in accordance with the structure agreed at the CPM-94 (see Annex 1 to CA/5). Contributions Inputs from the Study Groups, Working Parties and Task Groups will be submitted via the Chairmen of the relevant Study Groups according to the updated schedule (see Annex 2) and will be distributed by the Director as CPM-95 documents. Other contributions to the work of the CPM will be processed according to the provisions laid down in Resolutions ITU-R 1 and ITU-R 2. Five copies of all contributions should be sent to the Director, Radiocommunication Bureau for processing. Contributions should also be sent to the Chairman and Vice-Chairmen of the CPM. The pertinent addresses can be found in Annex 3 to this circular. Contributions received by 22 November 1994 will be translated for dispatch before the meeting. Participants are encouraged to submit contributions on magnetic diskettes along with paper copies, or by electronic mail. A list of machine-readable formats is given in Annex 4. Preparation and distribution of the draft consolidated CPM report and CPM documents To facilitate the work of the CPM, a draft consolidated report based on the reports by the Study Groups to the CPM will be prepared by the Chairman. This draft report will be the basis for the work of the CPM and will be disseminated by 10 February 1995. In accordance with Resolution ITU-R 2, the CPM documents, as well as the consolidated draft report should be distributed to all Members of the ITU and to members of the Radiocommunication Sector wishing to participate in the meeting. Those members wishing to receive the documents are advised to complete the attached request for documents (see Annex 5). Documents will be dispatched according to the requests received by 1 December 1994. Participation Administrations of the Members of the ITU and other members of the Radiocommunication Sector wishing to take part in the second meeting of the CPM are invited to complete Annex 6 by 22 February 1995.
