
FINAL ACTS OF THE WORLD RADIOCOMMUNICATION CONFERENCE (ISTANBUL,
2000)
- The Government of Peru has ratified the Final Acts of the World
Radiocommunication Conference, Istanbul, 2000.
The instrument of ratification was deposited with the
Secretary-General on 27 May 2003.
CHANGES
- The Ministry of Informatics and Communications of the Republic
of Hungary has changed its name and is now called Ministry of Information
Technology and Telecommunications.

The Ministry of Post, Telegraph and Telephone of the Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia has changed its name and is now called Ministry of
Telecommunications and Information Technology.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of Turkey has
changed its name and is now called Ministry of
Transportation.

The Ministry of Communications of the Republic of Yemen has
changed its name and is now called Ministry of Telecommunications and
Information Technology.

Acterna Eningen GmbH, which participates in the work of the
Standardization Sector, has changed its name and is now called Acterna Germany
GmbH.

Vodafone Spain, which participates in the work of the
Standardization Sector, has changed its name and is now called Vodafone España
S.A.

Telecommunication Development Sector
- Arab Knowledge Management Society (AKMS), (Amman, Hashemite
Kingdom of Jordan) has been admitted to take part in the work of this Sector.
STRUCTURAL
CHANGE
Republic of Zambia
- The Communications Authority, Regulator, has been designated as
the official agent to coordinate ITU matters. The Communications Authority
replaces the Zambia Telecommunication Company Limited which has been performing
this function.

The Administration of Communications and Post has been
established and its main functions and responsibilities include taking part in
the elaboration of State policy in the field of post and communications,
managing the State-owned telecommunications and postal networks and integrating
the Georgian telecommunications and postal networks into the global postal and
telecommunications network.
