CONSTITUTION AND CONVENTION OF THE ITU (GENEVA, 1992), KYOTO, 1994 AND MINNEAPOLIS, 1998

  • The Government of the Dominican Republic has acceded to the above-mentioned Constitution and Convention.
    The instrument of accession was deposited with the Secretary-General on 23 April 2002.

INSTRUMENTS AMENDING THE CONSTITUTION AND CONVENTION OF THE ITU (GENEVA, 1992), MINNEAPOLIS, 1998

  • The Government of the Federative Republic of Brazil has ratified the instruments amending the above-mentioned Constitution and Convention.
    The instrument of ratification was deposited with the Secretary-General on 22 May 2002.

  • The Government of the Republic of Bulgaria has ratified the instruments amending the above-mentioned Constitution and Convention.
    The instrument of ratification was deposited with the Secretary-General on 17 April 2002.

  • The Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt has ratified the instruments amending the above-mentioned Constitution and Convention.
    The instrument of ratification was deposited with the Secretary-General on 10 April 2002.

  • The Government of the Republic of Poland has ratified the instruments amending the above-mentioned Constitution and Convention.
    The instrument of ratification was deposited with the Secretary-General on 22 May 2002.

  • The Government of Tunisia has ratified the instruments amending the above-mentioned Constitution and Convention.
    The instrument of ratification was deposited with the Secretary-General on 16 April 2002.

CHANGES

  • The Ministry of Post and Communications of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan has changed its name and is now called Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (MOICT).

  • Boeing Aerospace UK Ltd, which participates in the work of the Radiocommunication Sector, has changed its name. The new denomination is The Boeing Company.

  • Hanson Cooke Ltd, which participates in the work of the Telecommunication Development Sector, has changed its name. The new denomination is Highbury House Communications PLC.

NEW MEMBERS

Radiocommunication Sector

  • Agere Systems Nederland B.V. (Nieuwegein, Kingdom of the Netherlands) and EUNICE Telecommunications Ltd (Athens, Greece) have been admitted to take part in the work of this Sector.

Telecommunication Standardization Sector

  • Agere Systems, Inc. (Andover, MA) and Rogers Wireless Inc. (Toronto, Canada) have been admitted to take part in the work of this Sector.

Telecommunication Development Sector

  • ZESA PowerTel (Harare, Republic of Zimbabwe) has been admitted to take part in the work of this Sector.

NEW ASSOCIATES

Radiocommunication Sector

  • Rogers Wireless Inc. (Toronto, Canada) and Télésystème Ltd (Montreal, Canada) have been admitted to take part in the work of Study Group 8. The latter’s participation is with effect from 1 December 2002.

Telecommunication Standardization Sector

  • Plantronics, Inc. (Santa Cruz, CA) has been admitted to take part in the work of Study Group 12.

  • Octasic Semiconductor Inc. (Montreal, Canada) and Transmode Systems AB (Stockholm, Sweden) have been admitted to take part in the work of Study Group 15.
