The Government of the Republic
of Botswana has ratified the instruments amending the above-mentioned
Constitution and Convention.

The instrument of ratification was deposited with the
Secretary-General on 22 March 2002.

The Government of Malaysia has ratified the instruments
amending the above-mentioned Constitution and Convention.

The instrument of ratification was deposited with the
Secretary-General on 7 March 2002.

The Government of the Russian Federation has ratified the
instruments amending the above-mentioned Constitution and Convention.

The instrument of ratification was deposited with the
Secretary-General on 6 March 2002.

Republic of Bulgaria

The Communications Regulation
Commission (CRC) has been established as the new regulatory body in the
field of communications. CRC’s establishment follows the approval
of amendments to the Telecommunications Law by the National Assembly at the
end of 2001. The new regulator replaces the State Telecommunications
Commission (STC), and has taken over all domestic and international
activities, rights and responsibilities.
