First published in 1869 as the Journal télégraphique, ITU News renders a first-hand account of the Union's
activities and the global issues of concern to people from all areas of the telecommunications industry. The magazine boasts a
high-quality defined readership of over 17 000 from the 189 Member States and more than 670 Sector Members of the ITU.
The ITU membership comprises Member States and Sector Members, whose
membership entitles them to receive up to five complimentary copies per issue.
Sector Members represent public and private companies with an interest in
telecommunications. They are Members of either one or several of the three ITU
Sectors (Radiocommunication, Telecommunication Standardization and
Telecommunication Development).
Audience
Senior government officials, directors-general, presidents and chief executive officers of telecommunication companies,
senior executives from the broadcasting and information technology industries, senior managers, technical experts, regulatory
and legal specialists, consultants and academics from across all regions of the world (see readership breakdown charts by region, country, job function and job
title).
Circulation
Regular print run: 7500 copies, of which 6000 are circulated amongst the ITU membership where every copy is read by 3 people
on average.
Special print run: Between 10 000 and 17 000 copies for distribution at selected international and regional events
organized by ITU.
ITU News is also published fully online at www.itu.int/itunews/. The number of hits on this
website varies between 49 000 and 51 000 per issue.
Rates
Advertising in ITU News is available ten times a year. The rates quoted here are for full-colour advertisements. Rates
for ITU Members from least developed countries are available on request.
Every advertisement appears automatically in all three-language editions (English, French and Spanish) in the language in
which it is submitted, unless separate language versions are supplied.
Discounts of up to 20% off the regular rates are offered for orders of four or more consecutive advertisements.
