With a passion in data analysis, programming and tech management, Giovana was awarded a certificate in an undergraduate programme for her research on AI and its application to the teaching of geography.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p>For Giovana, technology was never a priority growing up until her teacher introduced her to the Americas Girls Can Code (AGCC) initiative, run by the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p>Participating in the project as key in defining Giovana\u2019s career path. Giovana was inspired by the project activities and teachings focused on coding and other STEM-related matters.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p>Her experience positively impacted her life and choices. Its main objective was to promote the development of digital skills among girls and young women in the Americas, while also supporting beneficiary countries in reviewing and adopting digital inclusion policies and strategies.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p>Beneficiary countries included Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico, with the engagement of local governments and non-governmental organizations.
