account affiliated to an ITU Member (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/hub\/membership\/our-members\/directory\/?myitu-members-states=true&amp;request=countries\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Member States<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/hub\/membership\/our-members\/directory\/?myitu-industry=true&amp;request=sector-members\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Academia<\/a>, and UN System), users must obtain approval of their affiliation from the corresponding TIES Focal Point prior to submitting a registration request.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Fellowships<\/strong><\/h1>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To encourage participation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/fellowships\/Documents\/2026\/ListEligibleCountries2026.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">developing countries<\/a> and subject to availability of funds, one full, or two partial fellowships may be granted per eligible Member State, within the CIS region only. Full fellowships will cover the air ticket (one return economy class ticket by the most direct\/economical route from the country of origin to the meeting venue), and appropriate daily subsistence allowance intended to cover accommodation, meals and incidental expenses. Member States shall cover the remainder of the cost of the participation. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please refer to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/fellowships\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ITU Fellowships Portal<\/a>&nbsp;for the Policy for awarding fellowships for events and activities funded through the ITU regular budget and for the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/en\/fellowships\/Pages\/default.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">list of Member States<\/a>&nbsp;eligible to receive ITU fellowships.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The decision criteria to grant a fellowship include:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>available ITU budget;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>equitable distribution among countries and regions;<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>gender balance and the inclusion of persons with disabilities and persons with specific needs.<\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To request a fellowship:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>The participant must&nbsp;<strong>first register to the meeting and obtain the approval of the focal point<\/strong>. <\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>Applications must be submitted using the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/itu-d\/meetings\/rdf\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/31\/2026\/07\/RDF-CIS-2026_Fellowship-Application-Form.docx\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/itu-d\/meetings\/rdf\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/31\/2026\/07\/RDF-CIS-2026_Fellowship-Application-Form.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RDF-CIS-26 Fellowship Application Form<\/a>, in accordance with the submission guidelines provided therein. <\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The duly validated Fellowship Application Form  must be submitted to the Fellowships Service by e-mail to <a href=\"mailto:fellowships@itu.int\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fellowships@itu.int<\/a> or by fax: + 41 22 730 57 78, by<strong> 14 August 2026 (23:59 hours, Geneva, Switzerland)<\/strong>.
