It focused on addressing the ICT needs and aspirations of young people to support their educational and socio-economic development, while exploring ways to ensure their meaningful participation in the digital economy, society, and environment. Whilst the youth are the most active online, the other generations possess experience that they could share to equip and inspire the youth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Specific objectives of the GYS-25:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>To harness the potential of young minds in the&nbsp;<strong>digital transformation<\/strong>&nbsp;of societies, economies and environments.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>To provide a platform for&nbsp;<strong>intersectoral and intergenerational dialogues<\/strong>&nbsp;to exchange expertise, good practices and views through plenary sessions, hands-on workshops, and networking spaces.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>To identify specific ICT needs aimed at fostering educational and&nbsp;<strong>socio-economic development of young people and thus ensure their active participation in the digital ecosystem<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<li>To empower all youth, regardless of their gender, ability, socio-economic background or geographical location by ensuring their&nbsp;<strong>equal and equitable access to, use and knowledge of ICTs.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/div><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Outcome of the GYS-25:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Summit produced an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.itu.int\/itu-d\/meetings\/global-youth-summit-25\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/34\/2025\/04\/Global-Youth-Summit_Outcome-Report-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">outcome report<\/a> capturing youth perspectives, innovative ideas, and the challenges they face across different regions. This report is a valuable resource for policymakers, ITU Members, and stakeholders who may wish to align their national, regional, and global digital agendas, including using the report as input to the Regional Preparatory Meetings (RPMs) and the World Telecommunication Development Conference 2025 (WTDC-25).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"ituContainer\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As a\u00a0Summit for action, the GYS-25 served as a dynamic platform for dialogue among youth, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
