\n Join a global network of young women leading digital transformation and digital inclusion<\/strong>\u00a0

Are you a young woman using technology to create positive change in your community, country, or region?\u00a0

The\u00a0ITU Gender Champions Programme<\/strong>\u00a0recognizes and supports emerging women leaders who are advancing digital transformation, promoting digital inclusion, and helping shape a more\u00a0equitable\u00a0digital future.\u00a0

Implemented by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) with support from\u00a0Australia<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Women’s\u00a0WorldWide\u00a0Web (W4)<\/strong>, the programme provides opportunities\u00a0for young women changemakers to amplify their impact, strengthen their leadership, and connect with a global network of experts, policymakers, and innovators.\u00a0

For its first cohort, the programme will support\u00a0up to\u00a0four outstanding young women leaders\u00a0(18-25 years old)<\/strong>, who are driving meaningful change through technology and digital innovation. Selected Gender Champions will have the opportunity to\u00a0participate\u00a0in the\u00a0AI for Good Global Summit 2027 in Geneva, Switzerland<\/strong>, taking place\u00a0from\u00a021 to 25 June 2027<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0

Subject to sufficient available funds, they may also receive\u00a0support to implement\u00a0<\/strong>or\u00a0strengthen a community-level project<\/strong>\u00a0advancing women\u2019s and girls\u2019 digital inclusion, access,\u00a0skills\u00a0or empowerment.\u202f\u00a0

    Applications will be reviewed by ITU and programme partners against the programme eligibility and selection criteria outlined in the Terms and Conditions.\u00a0

    Due to the\u00a0anticipated\u00a0volume of applications,\u00a0only\u00a0pre-selected candidates will be contacted<\/strong>. The final cohort will be chosen with a view to ensuring diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and geographical representation.\u00a0
