High-Level Seminar on Space for Development
31 August \u2013 2 September 2026 \u2013 Shanghai Expo Center, Shanghai, China<\/sup><\/h2>\n<\/div>

Jointly organized by the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau<\/strong> (BR) and China\u2019s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology<\/strong> (MIIT), this three\u2011day Seminar \u2014 held at the venue of WRC\u201127 \u2014 will examine how accelerating space development can drive economic opportunity and social benefits worldwide.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Key discussions will explore the role of satellite broadband, Earth observation, disaster response and climate services; the management of finite radio\u2011frequency spectrum and satellite orbits; outcomes of WRC\u201123 and preparations for WRC\u201127; and international cooperation, regulatory and technical approaches. The programme features keynote addresses, panels, case studies and capacity\u2011building sessions geared to officials and experts from developing countries.<\/p>\n<\/div>
