\n Resolution 85<\/strong> (Rev. WRC-23) requires the Bureau to verify compliance of frequency assignments of non-geostationary fixed satellite service\u00a0 systems with the single-entry equivalent-power flux density (EPFD) limits in Tables 22-1A<\/strong>, 22-1B<\/strong>, 22-1C<\/strong>, 22-1D<\/strong>, 22-1E<\/strong>, 22 2<\/strong> and 22-3<\/strong> of Article 22<\/strong> of the Radio Regulations and to determine the coordination requirements under Nos. 9.7A<\/strong> and 9.7B<\/strong>.

In order to perform this regulatory examination, the Bureau in collaboration with two software companies developed in 2016 a validation software package to calculate EPFD levels produced by non-GSO satellite systems.

The details of the\u00a0 EPFD validation\u00a0process are provided in Circular Letter CR\/414<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Current EPFD Validation Software and XML-mask format is implementing the methodology of Recommendation S. 1503-2.

New version of ITU-R Recommendation S. 1503-4 was approved end of 2023 and yet to be implemented<\/h2>\n
