​Dubai, 1  April 2014 - In 2015 the Global Symposium for Regulators, known as GSR, will take place in Libreville, Gabon. A letter of intent was signed on 1 April 2014 by Mr. Sanou and H.E. Mr. Pastor Ngoua N'Neme, Minister of Communications of Gabon. "GSR is a very important event for ITU," said Mr. Sanou. "It is a global annual venue for regulators to share their views and experiences on regulatory issues," he said.  

Every year GSR brings together heads of national telecom/ICT regulatory authorities from around the world. GSR fosters as well a dynamic Global Industry‑Regulators Dialogue (GRID), between regulators, policy makers, industry leaders and other key ICT stakeholders. GSR's Global Dialogue provides a neutral platform for ITU-D Sector Members to share their views on major issues facing the ICT sector.
