General information about the initiative:
Generation Connect CIS Youth Group (GC-CIS) – is an initiative created to provide young people from the CIS region with an opportunity to discuss the prospects and challenges associated with the development of information and communication technologies.
Through this opportunity, GC-CIS participants share with ITU Membership their interests, vision and perspectives on digital transformation in the context of the upcoming
the World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC) and the Generation Connect Global Youth Summit to be held during WTDC.
GC-CIS current activities:
The youth group participants identified the following topics as priorities in the new cycle of work:
- Capacity development;
- Environment;

Distributed ledger technologies, artificial intelligence and emerging technologies;
- Development of computer literacy and cybersecurity.
