Judiciary Capacity Building on ICT Laws Interpretation in Kenya

On 16 November 2016 in Nairobi, Kenya, Mr. Andrew Rugege, the ITU Regional Director for Africa and Mr. Francis Wangusi, the Director General of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) signed Cooperation Agreement and Project Documents where ITU would provide technical assistance to CA in the Capacity Building of the Judiciary on ICT Laws Interpretation in Kenya.

Through the project, ITU and the Communication Authority of Kenya (CA) will endeavor to enhance knowledge and capacities of identified stakeholders through capacity building activities specific to Law Enforcement, Legal Practitioners and the Judiciary in the interpretation of the National ICT Laws as pertains to the ever changing landscape of the ICT sector in Kenya. While work is already underway, the official launch of the project is slated for May 2, 2017.
