Laura Roberti

Director of Licensing and Market Access, Telesat Canada

Dr Laura Roberti is Director for Spectrum and Market Access in Telesat. She is globally responsible for Telesat regulatory licenses and authorisations, including the new Telesat Lightspeed system. She also participates in related ITU-R and ITU-D work.

She has a PhD in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin (Italy) and many years of experience working in the industry and academic/research world. Her experience covers satellite/terrestrial telecommunication systems and spectrum management and engineering. She is the author of several research papers in the area of radio propagation. Prior to Telesat, she has worked for Inmarsat, British Telecom, NASA and the Polytechnic of Turin.
