This Recommendation addresses possible improvement of security and stability of the Internet of Things by ensuring the supporting Telecommunications/ICT systems and related infrastructure — protocols, standards, etc. — have the flexibility to keep up with advances in Telecommunications/ICT security and cryptography. This document intentionally does not provide guidance on specific cryptosystems, standards or algorithms.
