Smart Oceans and Seas (SO&S) permit to use telecommunication/ICTs to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources. This Recommendation provides an overview of SO&S, clarifies the high-level requirements of SO&S implementations. In addition, some representative use cases of SO&S are also provided in the appendix.
