Summary - Y.3701 (08/2025) - Data handling – Functional requirements of collaborative data processing in data platforms

Recommendation ITU-T Y.3701 provides the functional requirements for collaborative data processing in data platforms. It describes the framework for enabling multiple users and systems to work together on large datasets through integrated data pipelines, shared workspaces, distributed provenance tracking and secure access control. This Recommendation extends established big data activities and roles – such as collaborative data processing (CDP) provider, data service provider and CDP customer – to ensure scalable, reliable and efficient collaborative processing within a big data ecosystem.
