Summary

This Recommendation specifies the requirements of next generation network evolution (NGNe) to support multi-connection for network and cloud interworking.

It elaborates the requirements and capabilities of NGNe to support multi-connection, such as: unified service provisioning, concerted status awareness, collaborative fault detection, integrated resource allocation and optimization, unified authorization, and AI‑assisted prediction and maintenance. Corresponding enhanced capabilities are defined, including open environment, service control, content/context awareness, fault detection and recovery, QoS/policy control, traffic scheduling, user account management, authentication/authorization, policy/strategy management, and policy enforcement.
