This Recommendation deals with planning and constructing buried
telecommunication cables.
It gives information about:
– the
locations where earth potential rise (EPR) may occur;
– the
duration of EPR in different types of power networks;
– "safe
distances" between telecommunication cables and power installations;
– measures to
be taken if the safe distance is not achieved.
