Summary - G.9975 (10/2025) - Technical requirements of extended reality service over in-premises networks

Recommendation ITU-T G.9975 addresses the following:
•typical deployment of augmented reality, virtual reality and mixed reality (AR/VR/MR) services in home networks, and their network requirements;
•analysis of typical scenarios (including typical topology, medium usage and supported endpoints);
•analysis of typical impact factors to the network (e.g., channel capacity and channel stability);
•the requirements of home networking technology to support AR/VR/MR.
NOTE – In G.hn, an endpoint refers to a device that utilizes G.hn technology.
