Summary - F.747.17 (06/2026) - Requirements and framework for a vision-based multirobot collaboration system

With the advancement of artificial intelligence and increasing computing power, multirobot collaborative operation has emerged as a promising technology. The collection and processing of visual information are necessary for multirobot systems. Collaborative localization, collaborative perception, path planning and obstacle avoidance of multirobots rely on the collection and processing of visual and supplemental data. There is a need to develop a clear framework and requirements to accommodate existing and newly developed collaboration systems of multirobot.
Recommendation ITU-T F.747.17 specifies the requirements and framework for a vision-based multirobot collaboration system and provides use cases.
