  |  | Mr. Geoffrey Caryer Standards Consultant, BT Group Chief Technology Office
 
 |  
  | Geoffrey Caryer is a Standards Consultant in the BT Group Technology Office and represents BT in the 
  Telecommunications Management Standardization work in ETSI, ITU-T and 3GPP. 
 He is also the Managing Consultant of Telecommunications Management Consultants Ltd.
 
 Geoff has been involved in Telecommunication Management Standardization since 1990 and is currently 
  Chairman of ITU-T Working Party 2/4 (Telecommunication Management Capabilities) and a Vice Chairman 
  of ETSI TISPAN WG8 (TISPAN Network Management).
 
 Prior to his involvement in standards, Geoff was responsible for Operation and Management planning for 
  BT International’s Operations Division, including; Accounting, Network Traffic Management, QOS 
  Measurement and Network Investigations.

  |  | Mr. Nobuo FUJII NTT group, Japan

  | He joined NTT in 1979 after receiving his master’s degree in engineering from the graduate school of 
  Osaka university. From 1979 to 1995, he worked on network and service management technologies in NTT 
  laboratories. In 1995, he moved to the Multimedia Business Development Department of NTT where he 
  planned a business offering multipoint video conferencing services. The plan led to the creation of 
  a new service providing company and he was put in charge of its operations. He rejoined NTT 
  laboratories in 1998 and has been leading projects on home network services and high-speed 
  metropolitan area networks. Until recently, he was an executive manager of the “home network 
  appliance and services project” of NTT laboratories. He has been active in ITU-T SG4 since 1985 
  and is a vice chairman of ITU-T SG4. Currently, he is working for NTT Advance Technology Inc.

  |  | Mr. H. Kam LAM, Ph.D. CMTS, Lucent Technologies
 |  
  | H. Kam LAM is the Rapporteur of Question 14 of ITU-T SG15 responsible for the study of transport 
  network management and control. Kam leads Q14/15 in the specification of the ASON Recommendations 
  (G.7713 series, G.7714 series, G.7715 series, G.7718 series), the OTN management Recommendations 
  (G.874, G.874.1, G.875, & G.876), the SDH management Recommendations (G.784 & G.774 series), and 
  the generic transport management and DCN Recommendations (G.7710 & G.7712). 
 Kam is also active in many international and regional standards organizations, including ITU-T SG4, 
  TeleManagement Forum, ATIS TMOC (formerly T1M1), and IETF. He has contributed to many standards 
  specifications in the areas of management architecture, FCAPS functions, and information models. 
  He is the author, editor, and co-editor of G.874.1 (OTN NE model – protocol-neutral), G.774 series 
  (SDH NE Model – CMISE), M.3016 series (Management plane security), M.3060 (NGN Management principle), 
  M.3100 (Network/NE Model – CMISE), M.3120 (Network/NE Model – CORBA); ATIS-0300074 (Security 
  management system), ANSI T1.276 (Management plane security), T1.270, T1.214a, T1.240, T1.247, & 
  T1.119; RFC 3591 (Optical Interface MIB), RFC 3878 (Alarm Reporting Control MIB); DAVIC 1.3; and 
  ISO/IEC IS 16500-8.
 
 Kam is currently a CMTS for Lucent Technologies. He has a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, and was a 
  research scientist and Associate Professor from 1978 – 1986; and a MTS & Principal Engineer at 
  Bellcore from 1986 – 1997.

  |  | Mr. Leen Mak Lucent Technologies

  | Leen Mak is with the Network Solutions Standards and Industry Relations department of Lucent 
  Technologies. Before, he worked with Philips, AT&T, and Lucent, in circuit design, systems 
  engineering and product management. 
 During more than 15 years, Leen has been active in ITU-T and in ETSI telecommunications operations 
  and maintenance standardization, and in telecommunications management standardization.
 
 Leen’s current standards activities are mainly related to NGN Management. He serves in leadership 
  positions in ITU-T Working Party 1/4, ITU-T Question 3/4, the ITU T NGN Management Focus Group and 
  ETSI TISPAN Workgroup 8.

  |  | Mr. Dave Sidor Nortel Networks
 |  
  | David Sidor has been involved in ITU-T standardization activities since 1980. He became active in 
 Study Groups 4 and 11 TMN activities in 1987 and led the generation and served as editor of various 
 TMN Recommendations. Since 1991, he has represented Nortel Networks (USA) and served as the chairman 
 of the ITU-T Joint Coordination Group on TMN, TMN WP chairman, SG 4 chairman since 1996, and chairman 
 of the NGN Management Focus Group since 2004. 
 Under his chairmanship, SG 4 changed TMN into a multi-paradigm framework by embracing market-supported 
 IT and IP-based technologies, realigned its mission to emphasize the definition of management 
 information regardless of the underlying technology, initiated activities to address the management of 
 mixed circuit/packet-switched networks and NGN, and established partnerships and collaborative 
 activities with other standards organizations to achieve its goals. The NGN Management Focus Group 
 and the Multi-Technology Network Management Focus Group are the latest examples of such collaboration.

  |  | Mr. Hisashi Tada Advisory Director, TM Forum
 |  
  | Hisashi Tada is a member in the External Relations Division, NEC Corporation as well as an executive 
 consultant in Cyber Creative Institute. In addition, he is an Advisory Director of TM Forum and the 
 Chair of the Japan Management Team for TM Forum. 
 He has more than 33 years experience in the industry, including activity at all levels of the 
 architecture and development. During his long career with a leading telecom manufacturer, he has 
 held several key positions in design, development, and deployment of Network Management systems, and 
 Operation Support Systems.
 
 His current activities include network management issues and introduction of new technologies and 
 services to support service providers' business objectives.
