The following information has been provided by the organizers:
- A local network will be installed in the Hotel where the event is to
take place, with a direct link via Embratel, a Brazilian long distance and
international telecommunications carrier, for the Internet.
- This 2 Mbps link will not make use of any information resource from
Anatel's Corporate Network.
- In the local network, computers and printers will be made available
along with connections for the use of laptops.
- The network connections were distributed in the meeting hall in
accordance with the estimated number of participants provided by the ITU.
Concerning necessary laptop configuration and other information:
- The computers and printers available at the meeting venue will be
configured by the A&A, a firm responsible for the network
installation.
- Information on laptop configuration will be provided by the Anatel's
Internet/Intranet group and published on the Internet along with further
information or other relevant publications related to the event.
- In the event venue, the A&A will provide the appropriate procedures
and assistance service for the equipment provided or configured for the
meeting.
- General guidelines for the configuration of laptops will be provided by
Anatel in the English and Portuguese language prior to the meeting.
