Guidelines for Exhibition and Poster Session (as of 1 March 2004)
The ITU-T "All Star Network Access" Workshop (2-4 June 2004, Geneva Conference Center) will
allow for a poster session and a small exhibition where companies and organizations can present
posters or some small equipment to illustrate various aspects of the network access. The poster
session and exhibition will take place in the lobby of the Geneva Conference Center.
Poster Session: Comprises 1 or 2 panels to present posters and/or papers. Participation at the poster session is for free.
Exhibition: The exhibition consists of about 20-25 stands. A stand comprises 1 or 2 panels for posters,
1 table, 2 chairs and power to hook up some small equipment. To defray costs for the exhibition, a fee of
250 CHF has to be paid. Payment has to be made in advance.
General information and time schedule
Requests for participation must be sent to tsbworkshops@itu.int
with the
"Exhibition and Poster Session Participation Form" filled out (see below). The deadline for
requests is Friday, 30 April 2004.
Room is limited and available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
The installation of stands will be done on Tuesday, 1st June from 08:00
(one day before the Workshop starts). Exhibitors arriving on the 2nd June
(1st day of the Workshop) can set up on that day if they had reserved a place.
The exhibition will run from 09:00 to 18:00 during the first two days (2nd
and 3rd June). On the 3rd day (4th June), dismantling should start after 14:00
and must finish by 18:00. There is no possibility to store the equipment after the exhibition
is over as the Conference Center is used for a big event with high security. You have to
arrange for your equipment to be picked up on Friday, 4th of June, by 18:00.
If you participate in the exhibition, a payment of 250 CHF per stand has to be made via bank
transfer by 20 May 2004 upon receiving confirmation from the tsbworkshops@itu.int
that you have been reserved a stand. (Participation at the poster session is for free).
Description of exhibition and poster facilities
Space allocated per stand is 2 m X 1.60 m for the exhibition. Poster sessions need less space.
A panel is 160 cm wide and 190 cm tall. On request, and if available, two panels could be provided.
The size of a poster should not exceed the size of the panel. Large fonts should be used as much as possible.
The table has a width of 75 cm and a length of 150 cm.
Power of 220 V, 15A - 3 kW is available. 110 V is not available; you need to bring your own transformer(s).
You need to bring your own adapters.
Shipment of material
For the shipment of material, exhibitors should contact their transportation company. You
must specify
that it is a temporary exportation and that the equipment is going to be sent back to the country of origin
after the exhibition. Please notify tsbworkshops@itu.int
before your transportation company sends your equipment.

Note: It is recommended that shipments arrive on Tuesday, 1 June 2004.
CICG is open from 07:00 am until 07:00 pm. Monday, 31 May 2004, is a public holiday; there will be no customs
clearance on that day. If necessary and if shipment arrives on Thursday or Friday (27 or 28 May 2004), a storage
room will be provided in the CICG building.
If you plan to participate at the Poster Session or the Exhibition, you must fill out the
"Exhibition and Poster Participation Form".
