Subject/title: Signalling requirements for Service Function's discovery
Summary: Service Function Chaining (SFC) is now an area that has gained great attention in networking research. It enables the creation of composite services that consist of an ordered set of Service Functions (SF). The main activities of SFC are the collection and management of network resources distributed over geographical networks. Thus, the Discovery of SFs is a primary step for implementing SFC. This Recommendation provides the signalling requirements for SF discovery. The signalling is for service function path controller to discover and select the service function.
