Introduction
ITU-T Study Group 4, the leader in standardizing the management of telecommunication services,
networks, and equipment using the telecommunication management network (TMN) framework, organized a workshop to bring together the main players and Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) in Network Management technology. Hence the name " High level Seminar of Telecommunication Management Network (TMN) and Operations Support System
(OSS)" workshop.
Workshop Objectives
The workshop gave a clear picture of current standards, technologies, applications, and
requirements trends with a focus on network management implementation and services. The program addressed
the evolution of TMN and OSS, as well as regulatory issues and standardization efforts. It presented case studies,
analyses on whether standardization has been effective in fulfilling market needs and identifying potential new
standardization topics and areas of co-operation.
