Development of charging and accounting/settlement mechanisms for international telecommunications services, including adaptation of existing D-series Recommendations to the evolving market environment (Continuation of Questions 1/3 and 2/3)
  1. Motivation
    Recognizing the effects of advancements in technology such as IP-based networks and wireless technologies for the delivery of international telecommunication services, and of changes in global and national market structures, this Question will provide the Study Group with the ability to study the need for new or adapted charging and accounting/settlement mechanisms for the provision of international telecommunication services.


  2. Question
    Development of charging and accounting/settlement mechanisms for international telecommunications services, including adaptation of existing D-series Recommendations to the evolving market environment.


  3. Tasks
    The study should cover all international telecommunication services taking into account advancements in technology, next generation networks ( NGN), and regulatory developments. In studying this Question, special explicit considerations should be given to the needs of developing countries, and in particular to the least developing countries.
