provided
expert
assistance
to the
Moldovan
Administration (Ministry
of Information Development-MDI).
ITU
assistance was focused on
the
planning
of
broadband networks with NGN elements in Moldova and was performed
with computer planning tools of ITU partners.
Several typical
sample networks, including capital city, rural area and overall country
broadband market in Moldova were
selected
and
all necessary input data as geo referenced raster maps,
population, households, existing subscribers
and infrastructure
were collected.
Number of
studies
on modeling
of broadband
wireline and wireless access networks
for
the selected
sample networks
in Moldova,
concerning market
perspectives,
broadband
technology
alternatives
and economic
effects were carried out.
A detailed
technical report
with analysis
of the
obtained
from the studies results
and recommendations
regarding the
development of broadband networks with NGN elements in Moldova
was prepared afterwards from ITU and made available for the
Moldovan Administration. |
