Spectrum

Spectrum aspects consist of two main parts. The first is the ITU-R’s Radio Regulations

The Radio Regulations, 2008 Edition, contains the complete texts of the Radio Regulations as adopted by the World Radiocommunication Conferences from 1995 through 2007, including all Appendices, Resolutions, Recommendations and ITU-R Recommendations incorporated by reference and therefore mandatory.

While the Radio Regulations prescribe many aspects relevant to IMT as well as other users of the radio spectrum, details of licensees, etc., are not included in the Radio Regulations but need to be obtained from other sources. Two such commercial resources are:

- AT4 Wireless offers spectrum database support. e.g., for the WiMAX Forum

- The Telecommunications Management Group, Inc. provides a commercial report on “3G Licensing Around the World: Country Data Sets”
