16th TDAG Registration and Fellowship requests

REGISTRATION

Pre-registrations and applications for fellowships will be carried out exclusively online through Focal Points designated by each administration and entity entitled to participate in the TDAG.  On-site registration will begin on Wednesday, 29 June 2011 at 08h30 at the Montbrillant Building.

Participants registering on-site must present a letter of accreditation from their respective Focal Point.

The role of a Focal Point is to handle registration formalities for his/her respective administration/entity.  The list of Focal Points can be accessed using a TIES log-in at this address.

If your Administration/organization does not have a focal point, or wishes to modify the contact details and/or change a focal point, you are kindly requested to provide details of his/her last name, first name and e-mail address and submit this information on letterhead by fax to:+41 22 730 5545/+41 22 730 5484 or by e-mail to: bdtmeetingsregistration@itu.int.

FELLOWSHIPS
Eligibility

Within the budget available, fellowships may be granted to delegates from Least Developed Countries and developing countries1 with a GDP per capita less than 2'000 USD, with priority to Least Developed Countries (LDCs).

Air ticket and subsistence allowance

A full fellowship includes one return economy class air ticket by the most direct/economical route from the country of origin to the location of the meeting as well as a daily allowance to cover accommodation, meals and incidental expenses.

Due to budgetary constraints, the countries beneficiaries of a fellowship may have to contribute partly to the costs of the fellowship.

To request a fellowship

To request for a fellowship, you must first register online and tick the appropriate box on the form. Upon the acceptance of your registration, an electronic fellowship request form will be sent to the participant.

The fellowship request form should be filled out, signed and approved by a duly authorized officer of the administration who should also sign it and stamp it with the official stamp of the administration.

The deadline for returning the approved, signed and completed fellowship form is Friday 27 May 2011.

Please note that requests received after the deadline will not be considered.

Once completed, the form can be either scanned and e mailed to bdtfellowships@itu.int OR faxed to + 41 22 730 5778.

Only requests that have fulfilled all conditions will be considered.

It is imperative that fellows be present from the first day to end of the meeting and participate during the entire fellowship period.
