Participants who wish to apply for fellowships must register online and submit
the signed and approved fellowship form by
24 July
2009.
Requests received after the deadline will be considered on an "as possible"
basis. |
Eligibility
Subject to the availability of funds,
one fellowship per country may be granted to delegates from countries with a GDP
per capita less than USD 2 000, with priority to Least Developed Countries (LDCs)
Priority will be given to delegates who will present a contribution to the
meeting. While the number of delegates from any
country is not limited, countries will bear the costs of any additional
delegates.
To qualify, candidates must submit a new contribution of
direct relevance to the agenda and expected output of the meeting.
Deadline and procedure
You are invited to submit your approved
and signed fellowship form not later than 24 July 2009.
To receive the fellowship form you must
first register on-line by ticking the appropriate box on the on-line
registration form.
Upon the acceptance of your
registration, you will receive by e-mail the fellowship form which you are
requested to complete, sign and have it signed by the approving officer
of your administration, and stamped with the official stamp of the
administration.
Once completed, you may either scan it
and e‑mail it to BDT
bdtfellowships@itu.int OR fax it
to +41 22 730 5778.
Air ticket and subsistence allowance
Due to budgetary constraints, and
depending on the number of requests from candidates who fulfill all
requirements, the beneficiary countries of a fellowship may have to contribute
partly to the costs of the fellowship.
In the case of partial fellowships, all
applicants will receive a confirmation of the share expected from their
administrations. At that point, the fellowship request can be confirmed or
withdrawn by the approving officer who signed the form.
A full fellowship includes one return
economy class air ticket by the most direct/economical route from the country of
origin to Geneva as well as a daily allowance to cover accommodation, meals and
incidental expenses.
It is imperative that fellows be present from
the first day to end of the meeting and participate during the
entire fellowship period. |
