Prior to joining Huawei, Haiying co-funded Digital Support Technology, Inc. as CEO responsible for the company’s strategy and overall operation. Digital Support delivers innovative online support service.

Previously, Haiying held a management position at VMware in its early days, where he was managing server management team and responsible for VMware’s flagship product, Virtual Center, development and release.

Before VMware, Haiying was a Sr. architect at Vitria Technology, Inc. a leading business enterprise application integration company with many telecom deployments where he played an instrumental role for the company’s success (IPO 99) as No. 5 employee.

Before Vitria, Haiying worked at Silicon Graphics, Inc. contributing to the world first Interactive TV project between 1994-1995.

Haiying holds a Ph.D in Computer Science from University of Alberta and a MBA from Wharton Business School at University of Pennsylvania.
