Eric H. Loeb is responsible for supporting AT&T’s team of
international external affairs advocates. AT&T is a premier global
communications company, providing wholesale services and mobile roaming services
to over 220 countries and territories, and providing business enterprise
services to countries representing over 99 percent of the world’s economy.
In addition to developing and implementing market access
strategies to enable AT&T’s global expansion to satisfy customer needs, other
responsibilities for Mr. Loeb include ensuring compliance with international
telecom regulations, and advocacy on a wide range policy matters related to the
stable growth, innovation and investment by the information and communications
technology sector.
Mr. Loeb is based in AT&T’s Washington DC office. He is an
active member in several industry and community organizations, including current
service as: Chair of the International Chamber of Commerce Task Force on
Internet and Telecommunications Infrastructure and Services (Paris); Executive
Committee Member of the European-American Business Council (DC); Board Member of
the US Telecommunications Training Institute (DC); Co-Chair of the Coalition
Service Industries Telecommunications Committee (DC), and Member of the US State
Department Advisory Committee on International Communications and Information
Policy.
Prior to joining AT&T in 2002, Mr. Loeb had been the Global
Regulatory Counsel for Concert Communications, and prior to that, the US
Regulatory Counsel for British Telecommunications plc. He started his career at
Hogan & Hartson L.L.P. in Washington DC, after graduating with honors from the
Georgetown University Law Center, and with honors from Bowdoin College. He
lives in Baltimore, Maryland with his wife and two children.
