Background
The Telecommunication environment driven by the global trend of the new technologies is increasingly changing, it has produced tremendous opportunities for improving the telecommunication infrastructure of countries. These developments, though often making spectrum use more efficient, have incentived greater interest and demand for the spectrum resource.
Thus, the efficient and effective management of the spectrum has became crucial. If the spectrum resource is to be used efficiently and effectively, the sharing of the available spectrum has to be coordinated among users in accordance with national regulations within national boundaries and in accordance with the Radio Regulations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for international use.
The ability of each nation to take full advantage of the spectrum resource depends heavily on spectrum managers facilitating the implementation of radio systems, and ensuring their compatible operation.
The main objective of this seminar is to assist administrations and operators in the development of strategies on economic approaches to national spectrum management and their financing.
