The Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) organized the Seminar “Tariff Policies and Interconnection of Telecommunication Operators’ Networks”, from 15 to 17 September 2009 in Odessa, Ukraine and was hosted by the Odessa National Academy of Telecommunications (ONAT).

The main aims of this seminar were to share experiences and inform participants of the latest developments on the issues related to tariff policy and regulation of operators’ networks interconnection which should  be addressed to facilitate the creation of dynamic and competitive ICT markets and to provide users with greater access to ICT services. The seminar was open to all ITU Members States, Sectors Members and Associates wishing to contribute to the work. Individuals belonging to international, regional or national organizations could also participate. Academia and all associated and related Institutions were also welcome.

All presentations and contributions for discussion during the Seminar were highly appreciated by the participants, and Mr Andrei Untila, ITU Area Office in Moscow and the ONAT Organizing Committee would like to thank all those who contributed to the success of this seminar.
