Event Description

The Regional Seminar on the economic and financial aspects of telecommunications for LAC Member Countries has been organized by the Regulatory and Market Environment Division (RME) in the framework of the implementation of the Doha Action Plan (DAP) of the BDT.  This seminar was organized in coordination with the Study Group 3 Regional Group for Latin America and Caribbean (SG3RG-LAC) in Santo Domingo, at the kind invitation of INDOTEL.  The seminar was followed by the regional meeting of the SG3RG-LAC the days of 8 to 9 Julio 2010.   It counted with the participation of 97 delegates from 12 countries from Latin America and the Caribbean.

The objective of the seminar is to provide delegates and representatives of administrations, and recognized operating agencies of the region, with the opportunity to present and discuss matters on economics and finance for Latin America and Caribbean region.  Discussion sessions were conducted to promote dialogue and exchange experiences among participants.
