Forum area of the UN Pavilion between 10:00 and 13:00 hours on
17 May to discuss Better City, Better Life with ICTs in the
TD Global Development Forum. |

Throughout the entire Expo, the UN Pavilion is showing our
latest film entitled
"ICTs for a Better Future". This film
explores how ICTs can be a force for
positive change, helping to create a kinder,
more connected world.

WTISD 2010 CELEBRATION, 17 MAY

 ITU
held its annual
World Telecommunication and Information Society
Day (WTISD)
celebration in the Shanghai Hall of the
Expo Center.
The
WTISD-2010 theme "Better city, better life with
ICTs" is aligned with that of the World Expo: "Better city,
better life", which represents the common wish of all humankind
to achieve better living standards in future urban environments.
Information and communication technologies (ICT) play a
catalysing role in achieving this goal.
