Activity: Regional Stocktaking Report for Africa
Activity description: This report was prepared as information document for ITU-D Regional Development Forum (RDF) for Africa and Regional Preparatory Meeting for Africa (RPM AFR) in order to provide the examples of activities related to the implementation of WSIS outcomes in the region and to enrich discussions related to the overall review on the implementation of the WSIS outcomes and upcoming WSIS+10 High Level Event. The document is based on the contributions to the WSIS Stocktaking exercise, collected since the 2010 World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC-10). This report is open for comments or additional inputs to be submitted through the online platform at www.wsis.org/stocktaking or through enclosed questionnaire in Annex 1 until the 1st December 2013. Please note that submitted inputs on activities will be reflected in the global WSIS Stocktaking Report 2014 which will be officially launched during the WSIS+10 High-Level Event 2014 and submitted to the 17th Session of Commission on Science and Technology for Development (CSTD).
