Activity: Seminar on Formulating Effective Global Counter-Phishing Efforts
website of the activity

Activity description: Phishing is an automated form of identity theft, targeted at all email users. As a successful and lucrative form of financial fraud, phishing made its spot on the network landscape in early 2004. Phishers are now becoming more advanced with its population growing at a rate similar to the spammers of a decade ago. As part of IMPACT’s support for global collaboration and advancing global awareness in fighting fraud in cyber space, IMPACT and its industry partner, Kaspersky organised a seminar on Formulating Effective Global Counter-Phishing Efforts on 3 March 2010. The seminar was by invitation only.
