One of the first applications of the non-commercial e-applications element of the EU-Africa Partnership on Infrastructure will be the implementation of the results of the recently established collaboration between the European Space Agency and the EC to promote telemedicine through satellites.
A first pilot project of 500k€ is presently in the pre-implementation phase, but along the course of the pilot project a more substantial amount for an e-health program in sub-Saharan Africa is in the making
