Main goal of eGOIA is the provisioning of demonstrators that show future-oriented public administration services to a broad public in Latin America (Brazil and Peru). The vision of the eGOIA project is the provision of a single virtual space supporting the interaction of citizens (independent of social status, gender, race, abilities and age) with the public administration in a simple, future-oriented and cost-effective way. Technically the project is based on two main paradigms: front-office and back-office integration. The back-office integration concentrates on a Web service oriented architecture approach to access already existing and newly emerging government services. For front-office eGOIA will instantiate these services in Citizen Access Points focusing on the integration and participation of poor people with a lack of possibilities and experiences towards this new technological environment.
