Extension of the Bulgarian National Research and Educational Network
Activity description:
In order to stimulate Internet usage and to develop a wide range of Information Society services, a project has been launched aimed at computerization and high speed Internet connectivity for all schools and universities. The extension of the Bulgarian National Research Education Network will create a common platform of electronic content and will bring the Bulgarian education into the world cyberspace. The project is going to incorporate about 3200 schools. 1020 schools already have their computer labs connected to the network, which encompasses more than 400 000 students and 45 000 teachers as well as all administrative structures within the education sector.
