CONIPROSIT - WSIS Preparation
Activity description:
CONIPROSIT -Nicaraguan Committee to promote a Information Society for All- is a multi-stakeholder alliance (as defined in the Geneva Action Plan) which up to now comprise 58 entities from all sectors: Private, Public, Academic, Civil Society.
CONIPROSIT coordinates the process of consensus-finding as a country (or nation) towards the whole WSIS-process. As such CONIPROSIT prepared the Nicaraguan position with respect to the Latin American & Caribbean Action-plan eLAC-2007 and the participation of Nicaragua in the PREP-COMs, Regional and Thematic Meetings.
CONIPROSIT at the same time acts as National IFA-committee with the framework of the UNESCO-IFAP.
