| Description de l'activité: |
In late 2005 auDA proposes to create new second level domains for each Australian state and territory in order to preserve geographic domain names for use by the relevant local community. For example, bathurst.nsw.au or ballarat.vic.au. It is intended that each domain name will be used to create a web portal that reflects community interests such as local business, tourism, historical information, special interest groups and sporting and cultural events. The aim is to assist Australian communities, especially in regional and rural areas, to establish an online presence and identity.
