Based on the Cisco Networking Academy Program, a comprehensive e-learning program, which provides students with the Internet technology skills and with a great focus on students in less developed regions and women who have less access to ICT, Cisco is cooperating with the Ministry of Education, China, to co-found model Software Colleges in 30 most reputable universities of China. The program provides compulsory CCNA, CCNP courses to college students.
As part of the global program, in China, till 2004, there are already 219 academies cooperating with universities, professional training schools etc. in every province of the country with 20,207 students participating the program and 22,567 graduates benefiting from the program.
