Observatory on the Information Society in Latin America and the Caribbean (OSILAC) website of the activity
Activity description:
OSILAC main purposes are i) a centralization of data, indicators, methodologies and the networking of qualitative information from all the region; ii) normalization and harmonizing of ICT related indicators gathered at the sub-regional, national and local level and iii) increase and improve the quantity and quality of ICT data gathered across the region.
For this OSILAC is providing technical assitance for the statistical community (i.e. National statistics Offices) in Latin America and the Caribbean, and working on a benchmarking report of the WSIS Plan of Action in Latin America and the Caribbean, which is a living and growing document.
