SIL has been involved in developing fonts that specifically handle the special needs of the lesser-known languages of the world. Over the past three years, we have developed, improved, or collaborated on fonts for the following scripts:
Fonts released:
Arabic: Scheherazade and Lateef
Tai Viet: Tai Heritage
Roman/Cyrillic/Greek: Doulos, Charis (for typesetting), Andika (for literacy), Gentium
Updated fonts:
Myanmar: Padauk - updated encoding
Dai Banna: Dai Banna SIL - updated for Unicode
Ethiopic: Abyssinica - updated for Unicode
Limbu: Namdhinggo SIL - enhanced
