| Activity description: | Balance Zero - An environmental, digital plan amongst primary schools to combat climate change http://bit.ly/zfLaRn. Children are divided into groups with their computers and use the online "efficient house" software - at www.balancecero.gov.ar - to find out the quantity of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere. Once the amount is calculated, children work out the trees needed to be planted to achieve a balance between carbon dioxide emissions and forest capture. The Zero Balance Calculator –at www.balancecero.gov.ar - helps in this calculation. The government gives children and communities the trees to be planted. |
