Regulatory Training Design Project website of the activity |
| Activity description: | The purpose of this project was to design a training and human resource development framework for APEC member economies in order to address the human resource development needs of a regulatory agency. APEC members have discussed the need for good regulatory practice but the skills and knowledge in order to achieve good practice have not yet been identified. Leaders have signalled a significant need for human capacity building in the key skills and knowledge required by emerging regulators. This project builds on this impetus by putting a framework in place to provide training designed and targeted to the specific needs of regulators in the APEC economies and as reflected in the WTO Reference Paper on Basic Telecommunications. |
